​Join the Louisville Youth Philanthropy Council and the Community Foundation of Louisville for a dynamic day of philanthropy, leadership, and community impact. This one day workshop brings together youth in grades 6-8 for hands-on activities, inspiring speakers, and meaningful experiences!

Celebration Event
The Celebration Event is the culminating, student-led experience of our annual program year, bringing together students, nonprofit partners, families, and community supporters to honor youth leadership and impact. At the heart of the Celebration Event is youth voice. Students share their philanthropic journeys firsthand through live presentations and multimedia storytelling, reflecting on what they have learned about civic engagement, leadership, and community health. The event highlights the nonprofit organizations selected by the students and the issues they address.

Discover Your Impact: A Day of Youth Philanthropy
What does it mean to be a philanthropist and how can you make a real difference in your community? The Louisville Youth Philanthropy Council (LYPC) invites Lexington youth to spend a day exploring the power of philanthropy. In this inspiring workshop, you'll dive into the heart of giving—discovering different ways to contribute your time, talents, and resources while uncovering the causes that matter most to you. Through stories, discussion, and reflection, you'll craft your personal giving mission and connect with peers who share your desire to create positive change. The day culminates in a meaningful hands-on project benefiting a local organization, giving you the chance to put your values into immediate action. Come curious, leave empowered, and join a community of young people committed to building a brighter future for your community and beyond.

Every fall the city of Louisville celebrates a whole 24 hours of giving. It is a beautiful experience that recognizes the important of building a healthy and thriving community!
